Modernfold’s European sister company, DORMA Hüppe, launched MOVEO to the European community in 2005 and the rest of the World soon followed. In January 2008 MOVEO Glass was launched and this installation at Spiekeroog soon upgraded using this innovative new product.

This facility is designed to provide artists and art aficionado’s space for studios, workshops, movement and dance rooms, gallery, bistro and bar, and also seminar and reading rooms of various sizes.

The basic requirements of the facility were:

• Multiple configurations/set ups to meet changing needs - adaptable to the requirements of different events and group sizes
• Aesthetically appealing design
• Fast and simple set up
• Natural light penetration into the area
• Glass with sound separation

Six MOVEO partitions, 31 total panels, were used to meet the Owner’s requirements. This project combined glass with solid panels to meet design requirements. This project used marker board work surfaces and plastic laminate for the solid panels. This project also utilized internal electronic blinds for the glass panels.
